Situation

With its twelve contemporary architectonic high-rises, Barcode has become an iconic symbol of modern Oslo. The area is described as Oslo’s central business district, housing many of Norway’s bedrock private sector players, such as DNB, PWC, EY, KLP, Microsoft, and Deloitte.

With 20,000 jobs in the long term and 10,000 permanent residents in Bjørvika, the Barcode offering will have a very large market with good purchasing power. Since the completion of Barcode, the area has developed into an organic part of the city with residences, offices, kindergartens, restaurants, and shops. With just a five-minute walk to Oslo S and its proximity to Grønland and the Old Town of Oslo, Barcode is already a natural gateway to the rest of Oslobukta. Barcode’s street-level presence consists of approx. 15,000 square metres of premises distributed across restaurants, healthcare, well-being, fitness, groceries, and retail.
